The value of values…

Why ask why? Why not just get down to timebanking?

“The most successful projects held steadfastly to some common core principles, henceforth known as the Core Values of Timebanking. They are not meant to be seen as rules to follow or break occasionally; they are more a set of best practices and natural laws of social interaction that have been shown to heal communities. Ignore them at your own peril.”

Volunteers

Volunteers are needed for set up/tear down and other duties.  Event is from 11am to 5pm. Volunteers are needed for various teams/projects at various times.

Our TimeBank has the details posted.

This is a great opportunity to join our TimeBank! You volunteer your time and talents and receive, in return, help with your needs. Think of a babysitting pool where parents swap childcare services. TimeBanking expands that idea to create networks of giving & receiving.

TimeBanking – “Craigslist with more accountability and clearly defined, shared values”

TimeBank could be a great opportunity for creating wealth for our communities by documenting volunteer hours and enabling organizations and individuals to do skill-shares and work-trade through a ledger-based alternative currency called Time Credits.

It’s not nearly as complicated as it sounds… 😉

It functions similarly to Craigslist’s OFFER/REQUEST features, but with more accountability and clearly defined, shared values.
