The Amish use ‘frolic’ as a description of a community gathering to support a single farm, like a barn raising. Think of it as a way to translate ‘work’ into a creative learning experience where you get a lot done with many hands and build community at the same time.
TimeBanking is a volunteer‐led initiative that is creating a community-wide circle of giving. You volunteer your time and talents and receive, in return, help with your needs.
“Timebanking is like barn raising for the computer age.”
Phoenix Urban Farm
Training Center for Self Reliance, Off grid living
invites you to explore Time Banking while creating Hugelkulture planting beds with discarded brush,
removing heavy logs, cutting firewood, creating pasture, fencing for the horses.
